Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra's Father Dr. Ashok Chopra Passed Away | Priyanka Chopra Loses Her Father to Cancer | Priyanka Chopra's Father Died


Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra's father Dr. Ashok Chopra passed away the day before yesterday on 10th June, 2013 after a prolonged battle with cancer. 


Dr Ashok Chopra, father of actress Priyanka Chopra, passed away on Monday, 10th June, 2013 afternoon after suffering from cancer.

He was reportedly suffering from cancer since 2008 and breathed his last breath at 12.30 p.m. on 10th June, 2013 at the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. 

Reportedly, he was undergoing cancer treatment for the past few years and was admitted to the hospital a few days ago in critical condition.


The Award-winning Actress who was very close to her father and also has a tattoo 'Daddy's lil girl' inked on her right wrist had reportedly cancelled all her shoots and was beside her dad for the last few days. 
The whole Chopra family including Priyanka Chopra, her brother Siddharth Chopra and mother Madhu Chopra were beside him at the time of death.

On Friday, 7th June 2013, Priyanka had organised a Mahamrityunjay puja at her home, for her daddy's recovery. 


On Monday morning she posted a collage of her and her father's pictures on Twitter.


Dr. Chopra was a physician in the Indian Army and retired in 1997. 

Earlier this year, he had accompanied Priyanka to Vancouver for the TOIFA Awards, despite his ill health, where she won the best actress award for her excellent performance in 'Barfi' and dedicated the trophy to her father.
